Welcome to That Valley Girl Tan

My name is Whitney, and I am the proud owner and founder of That Valley Girl Tan. Located in Santa Maria, I offer both in studio and mobile spray tans. Spray tanning became a huge part of my life when my sister was diagnosed with skin cancer a few years ago. Watching her go through that was extremely difficult, but my sister is a survivor and kicked cancer’s ass! It’s safe to say since then I am rarely in the sun for a long period of time. But that doesn’t mean I don’t still love to be tan! I just found a safer alternative for me and my skin.

That Valley Girl Tan offers custom spray tans to each individual’s skin tone creating a sun kissed glow every time.

FREQUENTLY asked questions

Q: How does spray tanning work?

A: A technician equipped with a spray tan machine and various tanning solutions will either visit your location or welcome you to the studio. You'll wear disposable undergarments provided or your own, and the technician will evenly apply the spray tan solution onto your skin using a spray gun.

Q: Is the spray tan solution safe for my skin?

A: Absolutely. Most spray tan solutions are crafted from natural and organic ingredients, making them generally safe for all skin types. However, it's crucial to inform the technician about any allergies or sensitivities you may have beforehand.

Q: How long does a mobile spray tan session take?

A: On average, a mobile spray tan session lasts approximately 30-60 minutes, encompassing both setup and application.

Q: How long does the spray tan last?

A: The duration of your spray tan hinges on factors like skin type, aftercare, and the products used. Typically, it can last between 5 to 10 days. Consistent moisturizing and avoiding activities that lead to heavy perspiration can help prolong the tan.

Q: Will the spray tan look natural?

A: Absolutely. A professional technician will ensure the spray tan is applied evenly, resulting in a natural-looking tan. They'll customize the solution based on your skin tone and desired tan intensity to achieve the most authentic effect.

Q: Can I still get a spray tan if I’m pregnant?

A: Although generally considered safe for pregnant women, it's advisable to consult with your healthcare provider before undergoing any beauty treatments during pregnancy.

Q: Will the spray tan solution stain my clothing or bedding?

A: No, but it's advisable to wear loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing immediately after the session to minimize any potential transfer.
